Thanks to you all for stopping by this week's Game Blog.
After a rocky start due to spotty connectivity for this week's designated game bloggers live at the game in Darby (Todd and Chip), we resorted to an alternate plan with Todd relaying game action to me (Rick, the web guy several hundred miles away) via frequent cell phone calls describing the action. We realize that our fans come from just about everywhere, and we didn't want to let down the ones that couldn't be at the game in person. Your support is welcome.
I realize there were times when my descriptions left some holes in the action for you at times, and for that I'm sorry. Sometimes I didn't ask for enough information (it certainly wasn't because my notes weren't always legible), but we're learning as we go.
I've got some improvements in mind for next year's Game Blog that will make our coverage better and faster. Let us know if you have suggestions.

After taking the kickoff and starting another drive with the clock winding down, the Phoenix took a knee with 9 seconds left, and the clock ticked away the final seconds.
As the players shook hands, the gun sounded... the Blaze win the 2007 RMFL AA Championship!

Jurasek is once again intercepted, this time in the Blaze end zone as the Phoenix drove deep into Blaze territory. Again, Christian Brown (#8) turns the Phoenix away empty handed.

Jurasek is again intercepted deep in Blaze territory, giving the Blaze the ball at their own 5.
After a short nonproductive drive by the Blaze, they punted to the Phoenix and again are driving into Blaze teritory. They have a 3rd and five at the Blaze 40 with 3:32 left in the 4th.

The Phoenix drive ended with another Blaze interception. The Blaze however went three and out next.
One the ensuing Phoenix drive, Jamie Johnson again intercepted Shane Jurasek and ran the ball back 30 yards for a Blaze touchdown giving them a 15-0 lead with 8:57 left in the fourth.

After driving to the two yd line, the Blaze opted to kick a field goal and extend their lead to 9-0.
The Phoenix received the kickoff att their own 10 and returned it 25 yards to their own 35, but a penalty brought it back 10 yards to their own 25 where they'll have a first and ten.

After taking over on downs after a 3 and out by the Phoenix. The Blaze drove to the Phoenix 4 as the third quater expired. The Blaze have a second and goal as the clock ran out.

The Blaze drive stalls and Peterson field goal attempt sails wide left. The blaze take over at their own 20. Jurasek then scrambles to the 30.

After receiving the second half kickoff, the Blaze started at their own 25. Afew plays later, Justin Nixon broke off a long run to the Phoenix 33.

Evidently late in the first half, a fire started behind the stadium after someone had shot off some fireworks early. Two fire trucks arrived and quickly extenguished the blaze -- no pun intended.

After taking over the ball at their own 39 with 5 sec left in the half, the Phoenix gave up their fourth interception of the day to the Blaze. Christian Brown (#8) chalks up his third pick for the day. The half ends with the score still 6-0 Blaze

The Phoenix take afer after the Blaze drove as deep as the Phoenix 13 before stalling from their own penalties force them to punt. The Phoenix return to their own 49 and have a first down.

After getting the ball back, Shane Jurasek hits Gavin Johnson for a 30 yd gain into Blaze territory.

After stalling the Phoenix drive and taking over, the Blaze back drive into Phoenix territory before the Phoenix defense stalls them forcing them to attempt a 34 yard field goal, which Erik Peterson successfully converts.

The Phoenix defense holds the Blaze (along with a couple of Blaze penalties) and force them to punt. The ball goes thru the end zone and the Phoenix take ove at their own 20.

Th Phoenix began moving the ball when Shane Jurasek went downfield for Garza, but it was picked off by Blaze CB Christian Brown (#8) who returned it to the Phoenix 30. Blaze take over.

When play resumed the Blaze took over, but were quickly set backwards on an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. 2nd & 32 from the Phoenix 33

It turns out that the game is still delayed due to the injury on-field to Blaze receiver Mark Hausknecht (#45). evidently the ambulance was delayed on highway 93.
The Blaze will resume play with a 1st and 10 from the Phoenix 23 when play resumes.

The Phoenix took the opening kickoff and drove into Blaze territory before the drive stalled, where they attempted a field goal of about 40 yards. The Blaze blocked the attempt, and recovered to take over on downs.
