on the kickoff the the Wolverines they get the ball to the 35 yard line. They run the ball and the Phoenix allow a short gain. on 2nd the Wolverines pass it and get a first down on the Phoenix 45. On this first the Wolverines do a sweep and are stopped behind the line of scrimage. On 2nd it is another short pass for another 1st down. The Wolverines are now on the 31. The Wolverines run the ball again and again get stopped short. They run it yet again and it is another short gain, not enough for the first down. On 3rd Wolverine quarterback Peterson rolls to the outside and throws it to the middle for a 1st down. Now the quarterback gets messed up in the backfield but gets the ball to a player, he runs it in for a touchdown. the score is now 7-7 with 7:46 left in the 1st quarter.
