The Missoula Phoenix are proud to announce that the organization is under new ownership effective June 30, 2010.   Michael Burks, the owner of the Missoula Maulers Junior Hockey Team has purchased the Phoenix football team from current owner John Velk.    Burks is very excited about this new endeavor and is determined to build on to the already successful franchise.   Burks plans on revamping the web site and updating the logo, as well as moving the team's home games to Loyola High School's football field, which will be going through a huge remodel in the early months of 2011.   Burks has also said that he will be utilizing the Missoula Maulers bus to transport the team for the away games, converting it from Maulers Blue and Black to the Phoenix Black and Orange.  Missoula Phoenix tickets and merchandise will soon be available at Maulers Hockey Central, which is located in the Southgate Mall.
