Phoenix Shut Out Titans

The Missoula Phoenix remained perfect on the season with a 29-0 shutout of the Helena Titans in RMFL Northern Division League action Saturday.

Shane Jurasek threw for 188 yards and three touchdowns on 14 of 13 attempts as Missoula moved to 4-0. He connected for scores twice in the first quarter, hitting Gavin Johnson on a 8-yard strike and finding Tyler Boaz from 10 yards out. Later, Jurasek found Dave Garza for a 15-yard TD pass.

Johnson carried 10 times for 59 yards and had a 20-yard scoring run.

The Phoenix also received a strong afternoon from former Grizzly tight end Ja'Ton Simpson, who caught six passes for 47 yards.
